Instructions For Overlaying Calendars

Overlaying Calendars

PURPOSE: You have multiple calendars that you need to view in Outlook. Instead of viewing one at a time, you can see all of the calendars data at once. They will be color coded so you know which appointment goes with which calendar.

1. Open outlook Client (NOT the web Version)

2. In the left hand side on the navigation pane, Select the calendars that you wish to view. If they have much in them, I would not recommend more than 2 or 3 at once.

3. RIGHT CLICK on each of the calendars and choose OVERLAY—NOTE: This must be done for each calendar you want to overlap.

4. In the Right hand side, notice the merged calendar view. Each calendars’ data will be a separate color. By looking at the color of the title of the calendar, you can tell which appointment goes to which calendar. (you can customize the color of each by right clicking on the calendar in the left navigation pane, choosing COLOR and selecting the color you desire. Just make sure to NOT choose the same color for different calendars)

5. To Unbind the overlay, Right click the calendar in the navigation pane and choose OVERLAY. This will toggle the overlay to off (Or turn it on if the calendar was not currently part of an overlay.)
